What will I do on the course?

You will work alone at times and in pairs and groups and a use a wide selection of activities and materials such as CDs, DVDs, and computers to help you learn. You will also have individual help when needed from your tutor to keep you on track.

What will I learn?

You are taught the basics of reading, writing, speaking and listening in English. You will be taught grammar, and as you work through the different levels you will learn units such as use of tenses and read a range of texts to identify their purposes.

How will I benefit?

Whatever your starting point, our courses will help improve your English speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Your confidence will soar and help you break down barriers to learning, job hunting or promotion and pave the way for a better life.

Do I need any qualifications beforehand?

There are no formal qualifications, but an interview and assessment will take place to determine the correct level for you before you start. We need you to be comfortable and able to work at your own pace.

What can I do next?

You can progress to a longer ESOL course to gain a qualification if you are at the right level or continue with another skills workshop. Maybe Maths or English qualifications or even IT.
