People Need Skills are a ‘provider of choice’ for the London and East Region of Unite when it comes to delivering IT and Functional Skills courses in workplaces and in our community based learning initiatives. They are professional and their ethics dovetail nicely with Unites vision of making education accessible to all areas of our society.

A personal thankyou from Peter Cook - "We would like to take this opportunity to thank you personally for your contribution to the Essex County Council "Discover Yourself" Roadshow, without your help it would not have been possible.

Over the course of five weeks the roadshow visited 22 secondary schools and engaged with 4,271 students. The feedback from the schools has been extremely positive and they commented on the professionalism of the deliveries."

Premier had toyed with the idea of apprenticeships for some time, but it was only after our meeting with yourself that we had the confidence to commit to the process. With your guidance and our selection criteria that process was not found to be excessively bureaucratic, we felt we had a ‘real person’ on our side and when, regrettably my choice of candidate proved unsuitable, the choice of remedy you presented allowed us to move forward un-encumbered, and in more stable times we would seek to recruit that way again.

More recently however, the confidence you instilled during our earlier dealings extricated me from a very difficult position. When immobilised with a bad back, and having invited guests to the Business awards, I was able to entrust the guests, whom you had not previously met, into your care knowing that your character and articulation would ensure a good evening and save my embarrassment. Although I lost out on the opportunity of the interaction with those guests, from their feedback, I believe you served Premiers cause well as they left with the impression that we were dealing with capable people at all levels of our activity.

I admire your work ethic and ‘can do’ approach which I have found very refreshing in these difficult times.

I can confirm that in my time as the Education Manager at Havens Hospices, you have worked in partnership with me to meet the needs of my organisations education needs. This has included, quick responses to emails, following up on anything I have asked you to investigate, sorting out funding for the various QCF programmes and chase up on outstanding requests which you have passed over to the appropriate teams to deal with.

We have interacted with each other successfully via face to face meetings, telephone and email communications. All of which have been extremely professional and well structured.

Thank you for your support over the last few years.

I have known Adele Rogers in a professional capacity since 2010 in my role as Programme Manager of the Low Carbon Business Programme, specifically in relation to the apprenticeship wage subsidy strand of this Programme.

She has always been most professional in her dealings with this programme as well as with the businesses she has referred to us for the subsidy, in terms of explaining our – somewhat protracted – process for awarding these grants.

Her communications skills are excellent as well as her attention to detail, as evidenced by the quality of documentation received from her (or the prospective employer) in relation to our grant application paperwork and process which is part of an EU funded programme and therefore not always straightforward.

Her training abilities have also been appreciated in transferring her knowledge to team colleagues coming into this activity anew, a trait which has saved us much time in not having to chase for the completion, correction or accuracy of documentation.

Adele is extremely professional in all aspects of her role. Adele has great in-depth knowledge of her role and the services she provides. She will always go out of her way please. I cannot recommend Adele highly enough.

As always, it truly has been a pleasure working with you. The advice you gave was astounding and it was great to see you draw upon your own experience both as a business link advisor and as a business woman in the past!

I hope you enjoyed your time today, and I would welcome your feedback on the event, as well as any thoughts on follow up regarding the individuals who attended or if there are any areas where you think the event could be improved next time around.

I look forward to hearing from you and working with you again.

Adele is the most effective sales person I have worked with. Her sense of a business opportunity is unrivalled and she has a charm that puts her customers at ease. This charm is underpinned with a steely determination to drive the very best deal for the employer, whilst ensuring that the highest standards of customer service are attained.

Managing Adele is always energetic, exciting and positive, she generates a 'can do' mentality in those she works with and people naturally gravitate towards her because of this. She is an excellent member of the team and someone I can bounce ideas around with as I can always rely on her honesty and constructive opinion.

Adele attended the Basic Sales Techniques course last week in Leicester and performed very very well. She is a gutsy young lady and although she was quite ill during the course we couldn’t persuade her to go home and she saw it through to the bitter end and I think that says a lot about her determination.

Just a short note following the superb Olympics supplement that appeared in Thursday’s paper.

Congratulations on controlling and organising this 16 page supplement – you kept the staff motivated and your enthusiasm rubbed off on all in the department.
