Risk assessment and method statements
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) states ‘Risk assessment is not about creating huge amounts of paperwork, but rather about identifying sensible measures to control risks in your workplace’. A risk assessment essentially will highlight any hazards that may affect the worker and suggest measures to minimise any harm. Risk assessments are a legal requirement for all types of workplaces.
Risk assessment awareness training teaches understanding of what risk assessment is, the approach, and how it may be conducted, in accordance with the HSE Management of Health and Safety Regulations (1999).
